Lydiane joins the CRS Challenge program to raise funds for cancer research
For the 10th edition of the CRS Challenge in 2020, the Cancer Research Society is launching a series of charity challenges under the Wonders of the World theme. To kick off this new series, Lydiane St-Onge (Lydiane around the world / Lydiane autour du monde) will act as ambassador of the program and will conquer the Great Wall of China in August 2019. She calls on all who wish to take concrete action in the fight against cancer to join her in China, or to participate in another of the proposed challenges.
Adventurous and passionate, Lydiane shares her love for travelling and exploring new places around the globe with her dedicated community of followers. Eager to contribute to the fight against cancer, the CRS Challenge appeared as a natural fit for her and an opportunity to play an active role to help fund research.
“I really feel that this journey with the CRS Challenge will be the adventure of a lifetime. Not only will I discover a new part of the world, but more importantly, I will be supporting a cause I feel strongly about. When we know that one in two people will develop cancer in their lifetime, we must act now.” Lydiane St-Onge, ambassador for the CRS Challenge.
For the last 10 years, the CRS Challenge has allowed people of all ages and backgrounds to step up against cancer by taking on a double challenge: pushing their physical limits and raising funds to help finance the most promising cancer research in Canada. With more than 7 million dollars raised and over 500 participants to date, the CRS Challenge has become a symbol of action, resilience and hope. For participants, it is the adventure of a lifetime, based on a strong sense of taking concrete action on behalf of loved ones and for future generations.
